Crowdfunding Watch – 3D-printing – Four new campaigns

I expect my Prusa i3 Mk3 to arrive within a week or two. Really excited about that. I’ve got some interesting review samples for an upcoming kickstarter that will hit the printer pretty quickly. I’ll write a review on that, but that will go live when the kickstarter starts, in October.

After a couple of quiet weeks we have finally got some new campaigns going.

If you want an outpost for your SF-games, then this might very well be what you’re looking for.
A multi-level modular set that is perfect for covering a terrain-board with lots of cover, walkways, corridors and whatnot.
We get lots of pics of printed stuff, which I really like as it shows you what is actually achievable, and it all looks great.
Definitely worth a look!
This KS ends on September 21 2018.

More SF, but this time the interior of a spaceship.
If you would like your Space Hulk experience to reach a new height, then this could be something to look into. It would work equally well in any other setting, of course.
You’ll get a good selection of tiles for a very affordable price.
My only criticism is that the corridor-tiles are rather bulky, meaning your build options might be a bit limited, but on the other hand it means that it is very easy to assemble and disassemble.
It does look good, though, so check it out.
This KS ends on October 2 2018

Here’s a Norwegian project for a change. Epix Haven started-out making pre-painted buildings that did cost quite a bit. Very nice buildings.
With this campaign you have a chance to get those buildings, or rather improved versions of them, at a much more reasonable price. You do have to print and paint them yourselves, obviously.
There is a selection of different houses and fortifications, all looking great.
My favourite is the freestanding tower, and the castle-pieces does also look fantastic.
Check it out!
This KS ends on October 4 2018.

If you would like to assemble your outdoors terrain with modular hexes, then this could be it.
You’ll get 100 files, scaled for 28mm gaming, enough to make a large gaming area, 160x120 cm using just one of each, and you can of course make duplicates for an even larger area.
The files seem to be already finished, so delivery will be during October.
The painted end result looks really nice, and I think that it would look great with static grass, water effects and maybe some other colours for river-beds and the rocks.
Definitely worth a look.
This KS ends on October 7 2018.
