The
female elf archer comes from the Reaper
Bones II kickstarter is a rather nice little figure (but her nose was rather flat and probably miscast), she is called Allistrilee,
Elf Archer and is sculpted by Bobby Jackson (Bones 77205 or Dark Heaven Legends
03166).
She got a more impressionistic paintjob as I’m trying out a couple of new
techniques and she volunteered J. Decent
result.
This
is DAD17 Female half-orc assassin from Otherworld’s Dungeon Adventurers
series and sculpted by David Soderquist. Another great figure from Otherworld that
is suitably dressed and equipped.
Looking good!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Richard!
Delete(But not as good as some dwarves would, right. You know, it's still time to pledge)
Very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michael!
DeleteInteresting basing, have been considering clear basing for skirmish miniatures for a while now. Looks quite useful, no more snow in deep dungeons or sandy bases on ship decks!
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteAll my fantasy and pulp-figures get clear bases now. Well, actually, all my minis get the same treatment.
They come from Sally 4th, by the way

I'm about to embark on a foray into transparent basing for my skirmish miniatures too. So any tips on the practicalities of this sort of basing would be useful!
ReplyDelete- I use Loctite superglue. Use sparingly otherwise you will get misting of the bases.
Delete-The feet must be very flat otherwise the minis will come loose rather fast.
- I only pin if there is only one foot in contact with the base. Actually I don't even pin those minis if they are plastic as the bond seem to be strong enough for them.
That's about it.
Hope it works out fine.
