Scatter scenery

Some small things finished over the last weeks.
The desk is a 3D-printed Gothic Bed I downloaded from Thingiverse quite a while ago. Can’t find it now, unfortunately, so I can’t point you in the right direction. Anyway, a nice little piece.
The heaps of fruit and snake basket comes from Sally 4th and their Souk Props. Very nice! More coming as they are all on the painting table.
Pumpkin, loaf of bread, cheese and platters are all from Zealot Miniatures. Useful bits and pieces that I can use in everything from a fantasy dungeon to science fiction. Good stuff!

Mercs – scatter terrain

More scatter terrain, this time with a modern to future look and useable indoors. I’m really working through a lot of terrain that has been overlooked for so long.
Robot Arm
These resin-pieces are from the Mercs:Recon game (which I don’t think I will play, but minis will be used for other games) and came as an additional purchase in the kickstarter.
Server and Safe
I only painted four of the six pieces in the set, the rest goes to my sales-box at the club.
Power Core
They are okay, I guess. The safe could see use in everything from pulp to SF-games, the server… well… 7TV maybe, while the robot arm and power core have a place in everything from 7TV to SF.

More scenery from Zealot

I haven't had much time to paint during the last week or so, due to a gaming con during the weekend, a new job and life getting in the way.
Unholy Portal with a transparent red portal insert in the middle.
Anyway, here are a couple of scenery-pieces from Zealot that I finished a couple of days ago.
I'll hopefully get an hour or so at the painting table this evenening. There are a lot of stuff needing paint.

Furniture from Frontline

I’ve had these resin-pieces (25WW23 Assorted Cupboards) from Frontline squirrelled away for ages.
They contained a lot of bubbles needing green-stuffing. Not too big a job fixing that and giving them  some paint.

Nice with these as playable pieces instead of stuff in the tin- and polymer-terrain-mountain.

Scenery from Zealot

I just finished some more scenery from Zealot, this time a bed, rustic throne, banquet table with cloth and three monster beddings.

Everything is, as always, really great stuff.

More dungeon scenery from Zealot Miniatures

Lots of stuff from Zealot Miniatures ready for action.
Tiered stairs for use in the dungeon or maybe a castle
A Fireplace with a comfy little fire to drive away the chill of a dungeon near you.
That's a nice Forgotten Fountain
There were clear inserts but I used Woodland Scenics Realistic Water instead.
When you least expect it... a water weird! A clear resin piece you can put over the fountain. Difficult to see in the picture, but there is a monstrous head there. I put a gloss varnish on it to let it look more watery.
A dwarven arch
This lectern is actually from Pulp Figures and their Cowled Cultists 1 pack.
The lectern and a big Zealot box. You can never have to many boxes.
A Tomb...
Oh, there is a mummy inside.
Aaaaargh! (mummy from Blue Moon)
I hope you enjoyed this look at some of Zealot's stuff.

Furniture from Zealot Miniatures and summer updates

Chest of drawers, side table, barrel, hatch and crate.
As I wrote in the last post, Zealot Miniatures sent me a lot of kickstarter-stuff a couple of weeks ago. I quickly decided to start with some of the easiest pieces to paint, just to feel that I had some progress in lowering this specific resin-mountain.
Banquet table with bench and two rustic chairs
Cupboard
Here are the first couple of finished pieces. As you can see the detailing of the models are top notch. Really very beautiful furniture and stuff that will enhance gaming tables in the future.
Coffins - these are always useful, be they in the Old West or a dungeon.

Summer is here, and with it stays to our summer-place, trips to other places, gardening and all sorts of non-gamery stuff. Expect to see fewer updates in the next two months or so, and slower replies to comments – I will read them but maybe not the same day. I’ll try to manage two posts a week but that is in no way guaranteed.

28mm furniture from 4Ground

I’ve bought some stuff for my growing 28mm Wild West collection. Easiest to get table-ready were these counters from 4Ground. I wanted to try their new MDF furniture, and the counters looked useful.
Straight Counter in light wood – this is a set with 12 pieces that glues together easily. It took me less than 10 minutes to finish.
Corner Counter in light wood – 22 pieces makes this corner counter. It bit harder to build. I recommend that you dry-fit the pieces, as some are mirror images of each other but they have the same identifying letter. I noticed that when I had glued some pieces together, but before the glue had set. Took a bit longer, but still just slightly more than 10 minutes.
I used white glue as you have time to make adjustments (and have a chance to rescue your failures)
Highly useful pieces of furniture this. Relatively easy to assemble, and ready to game with as soon as the glue sets.
She’s drunk, that’s the reason for the blurry picture. But you'll get an idea of the size of these things.
4Ground recommends that you coat these furniture with a matt varnish. I haven’t yet, but might.
