Dust - Medium Panzer Walker III-A/D Wotan/Flamm-Luther

Another model that just stood half-finished on the painting table for far too long. It’s a medium German walker from Dust, and this one can be made into two different models, the laser-equipped III-A Wotan or a flamer-equipped III-D Flamm-Luther.
The Wotan can be equipped with side-shields, to make it even tougher to knock out.

Decals from Dust and Warlord.
This one had a problem that I found before I started painting, as the air-intake grille on one side of the main body was missing. I had to make one myself.
A mould material I bought from Alphaspel. You heat it in hot water and it becomes soft.
Take the hot lump and press it to whatever you want a duplicate of and you've got a mould when the plastic has cooled down. Here I make a duplicate of the grille on the other side of the main body.
I made two moulds and filled them with green stuff
A descent grille. It's not perfect, but good enough.
Trimmed and glued in place.
Anyway it is nearly invisible behind the weapons. I bet you didn't notice it on the pics of the finished model.

Troll from Blood Rage

Another mini finished, this time a troll from the Blood Rage boardgame. He’s sat there on the painting table and just needed some details done. Another easy mini to move from the mountain of plastic and tin.

For my own future reference I used Citadel Tallarn Flesh with a wash of Army Painter Strong Tone Ink and after that a drybrush of Tallarn Flesh. Hair Vallejo 984 Flat Brown, Strong Tone ink and a light drybrush of 977 Desert Yellow.
Welcome Nergling with a blog with the same name, Nergling, full of miniature goodness. You’ll find some really nice videos and other stuff. Well worth a look.

On the Painting Table and a Zombie Troll from Mantic

The painting table, rather clean and tidy for a change. Dust, pulp, fantasy and a Wild West gallows to be finished before any new major projects.
The side table full of more stuff to be finished. 3D-printed terrrain, more Wild West, submarines and a civilian airplane for pulp gaming.
I’ve decided to clean up on the painting table before I start any new projects, so you will see an assortment of different figures and buildings in the coming weeks. Seems I have started painting far too many minis and it’s time to just finish them.
I’ve also re-based all my Wild West figures on clear bases, readying them for Dead Man’s Hand at the club later this autumn. Before that I will finish all WIld West buildings I have, both the half-finished ones above and the 4Ground ones still unstarted.
Now to this mean undead, a zombie troll from Mantic.
I got him from Thomas, who got him as part of the Dwarf King’s Quest kickstarter. He (the zombie troll, not Thomas) just stood there on the table, needing to get his nails painted, some tidying up here and there, and a wash (could actually apply to Thomas, too...). Easily done and another monster ready to battle unfortunate adventurers in Frostgrave/Open Combat/D&D/SoBH/Pulp Alley.

Zombicide: Black Plague Necromancer and Redcap Rodney

A short update on what’s happening on the Zombicide front.
The necromancer from the base box is finally finished. I started him early on and nothing much happened after he was painted black. He got my attention for an hour or two and is ready to hit the gaming table and those pesky survivors soon.
I’ve started with one four-pack of survivors I got with the kickstarter, the Special Guest Marc Simonetti pack. The first to hit the painting table was Redcap Rodney, and here he is.
These guys will hopefully see action very soon.
I’m also finished with another five zombies from the basic box, just ten more to go and that box is fully finished. Everyone has agreed to a group-shot when they all are painted. Hopefully in the not too distant future.

Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, part 2. Military aircraft

Now for the not so peaceful planes from Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. (You can see the civilian planes in part 1) They will be in no special order, this is just following how we walked.
We start with a P-51D Mustang
This is such a beautiful plane
Next stop, a B-17G Flying Fortress. You might have seen this one looking a bit different in the Bond movie Thunderball
The B-17 is dwarfed by the tail from the Spruce Goose in the background.
A replica Me-262A-1. An impressive plane. If you want to see the real thing you can visit Deutches Museum in Munich, another great museum.
Mrs Miniaturesman and youngest son looking.
This one is armed with what I think is Orkan rockets.
Another replica, this time a FW-190A-7
Ready for towing

Close-up of landing gear.
and more of the same, but lower down
Gun
A rotten photo of a Douglas A-26C Invader.
A de Havilland D.H.100 Vampire. The Swedish Airforce bought 70 of these in 1946 and they served here until 1955 under the name J 28A.
FJ-3 Fury
FG- 1D Corsair
Cessna 0-2
Spitfire Mk XVI
Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10
P-38L Lightning
P-40N Warhawk
A replica Curtiss JN-4a Jenny. The type was used as a trainer for US and Canadian pilots in WWI. Really interesting to see it 'undressed' (yes, I'm an engineer...)
Wing and how wires and struts are connected.
Another replica, this time a Sopwith F.1 Camel.
So, that's the Aviation part of the museum. Next we will go to the Space hangar, where we also find helicopters and more.
I hope you enjoyed the pics.
