These
are the first minis of this year, a SSU Rifle Squad or Ohotniki. Three guys
armed with PPSH-48 sub-machine guns and two with Widowmaker rifles. These
should work well as ordinary grunts, I guess.
They
are painted like my SSU
Battle Squad, the only difference being the red star on their caps being
Citadel Red Gore and I painted the assault packs in Vallejo 914 Green Ochre to make the
painting even more streamlined.
30mm bases from Sally 4th.
Next on the painting table, nearly finished, are the heavy snipers. They are seriously cool.
Cracking stuff Joakim. I must confess that I'm not that keen on the Soviet Infantry models for "Dust" but your painting of these has certainly changed my mind for this particular squad. They're lovely. Like the clear bases as well. I too don't like the "Dust" ones and cut my minis off of them. Great start to the New Year - glad I'm following :-)

DeleteI've gone to clear bases for most of my minis now. They are so much better when you actually play with your minis. No more grass covered bases in the dungeons or inside houses.
I'm glad to have you here!
Looking good! Just don't forget your Italians...
ReplyDeletethey are forgotten...
DeleteWhat would you prefer? An Italian tankette or a monster walker...?
There may be a bit of trouble if we introduce a walker on the field in the CoC game at GothCon...
DeleteNot for the walker..,
DeleteNice work, like the details like the stars on the caps.
ReplyDeleteThanks! They are a dream to paint. Like all the Dust minis.
DeleteThese guys look like they mean business! Very nice painting and high detail!
