More from Ziterdes - the Monastery Ruins “Ruan”.

This piece is delivered pre-painted and pre-flocked and I would really prefer it to be both without the greyish brown paintjob and especially the static grass. No real problem removing the grass with warm water and a stiff brush, but it was extra job and probably made the product a bit more expensive.
The ruin from the box. The colour and static grass didn't suit my uses for it, though.
Anyway, it’s easy to finish with base-colour and two drybrushes. I pimped it with a couple of dead bushes from rubberised horsehair and that’s about it.

It is a big piece, as can be seen with this 28mm fig from Otherworld.
It's a great piece of terrain and certainly well worth its price. Recommended!
Ready for today’s game of Frostgrave.

Kingscliff from Ziterdes

It’s has become very obvious that lots of blocking terrain is crucial in Frostgrave and something to help with that arrived the other day, a big and rather light box from Ziterdes.
Kingscliff is the first of the two pieces of scenery from that box. I think of it as a monument to an ancient king. Made of hardfoam and both light and durable.
The flat ground on the top could maybe hold an altar.
The only thing I did was to paint it in the same colours as my other Frostgrave scenery and the harbour.

Fast, easy and affordable.

Watchtower Ruin from Ziterdes

Another lightweight foam-plastic building from Ziterdes, this time a ruined watchtower. It needed some trimming and I had to remove the static grass that was pre-glued here and there. Not a big job as the glue was water soluble and it is very easy to cut the foam with a sharp knife.
I painted the ruins in the same way as the tombs I made a week or so ago. As it is pre-painted this is not strictly needed but I want all my Frostgrave terrain to look coherent, or at least all I make now.
Another piece of terrain finished for Frostgrave, and a very nice one too.

Really recommended!

Tombs of Darkness from Ziterdes

I’ve got quite a lot of fantasy minis so it was easy to fall for Frostgrave as I can pick and choose from what I already have painted or at the most find a suitable figure in the box of unpainted fantasy minis I have.
It is worse when it comes to terrain. I’ve got dungeons covered quite well but ruined cities… well, there is a hole in the collection there. I guess I could find most of what I need at the club but I would like to play this at home with the kids also.
So, when the local shop had a sale the other week I found some stuff from Ziterdes that will work well in what will be my version of the city of Frostgrave.
The first Ziterdes stuff I finished are the content of the Tombs of Darkness pack-  a two-pack of prepainted tombs for around €10. The terrain from Ziterdes is made from a prepainted lightweight and durable foam-material. Easy to work with and close to weightless.

I painted the tombs in the same way as I did the flagstones of Soerabaja Harbour, using household Flügger paint - Grey Umbra as base and drybrushed with Lava. I have a cunning plan….
