Cowled Cultists from Pulp Figures

These excellent cultist from Pulp Figures and sculpted by Bob Murch will serve well in Pulp Alley and especially well in the Tomb of the Serpent campaign that I will probably play solo.
Some of them an probably serve in other settings too, as at least the females are non-period-specific. Always a plus.

Back to painting the new league.

  1. You can never have too many cultists!

  2. That is true. I'm rather tempted by the plastic Frostgrave cultist, just for that reason. But I need some armed with guns

  3. Nice. The red is very crisp and the clear bases really work for these guys. They will be very useful, I am sure.
Why do the male cultists have shoes and the females are barefoot? Is that a cultic thing, I wonder?
And what leads a respectable accountant or housewife to become a cultist? Do they say, I'm bored, a cult dedicated to an ancient malignant entity and a horrible death sounds like fun!' ?
I have so many questions. :)

    1. I have asked the same shoe-questions myself, but got no answer from the little tin men and women.
Morality are things that heroes never have to think about. Cultists are per definition evil and that is that (see comment below, btw)

  4. Nice! If you're looking for some more IHMNs The Servants of Ra are rather nice, too.

    1. Yes, those are really nice. Gunnar at the club has based his cultist league on that set, so I have been on the receiving end of them :-)
I do need more cultists, so I might have to consider these for my solo-games.
I do have some more pulp-cultists, though

  5. Nicely done! They make a versatile group. Are they a force for evil - or good?

    1. I guess that there hasn't been many people in the history of the human species that have thought of themselves as evil. So they are, by definition on the good side. The question is whose good side they are on, mine or the oppositions...

  6. Nice Joakim, as for playing Tots solo I've already gotten one game in & it has a great feel to it for solo play, I look forward to following you progress.

    1. That sounds great. I'm very keen to try it out solo. First thing is to get a new league and a new league to use at the club as everyone seem to be keen on changing to new leagues there.
Or I might use the CSSS solo and Anders Einstein at the club... hmmm...

  7. I really like the look of your cultists and as Andre wrote, you can never get to many of these. I myself have a bunch that are waiting to be painted primarily from the game "Empire of the dead".
