It’s
that time of year again. The Nativity Scene demands an upgrade.
Last
year was a bit of a downer as I started on the backdrop too late, it took far too long
to make and was ready around New Year.
This
year I made a new ground-/road-section and added vegetation. In time!
As we celebrate Xmas tomorrow, on
the 24th, I have to run off and buy the last of the food, bake some julvört (a Christmas bread flavoured
with porter, ginger, clove, Seville orange and other exotic stuff. Excellent!),
glaze the Christmas ham and
drink far too much mumma.
There
will be a post later with more details of stuff used for the Nativity Scene.
Enjoy the pics and have a really great vacation.
Nice work on the scene. Hmmm, that holiday bread sounds tasty too!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt is, and it's baked and ready for a dinner sandwich with julskinka. Soon. Yummy!
God Jul Joakim!Passa dig för mumman. :) I like the pictures and the model a lot.I will probably make a similiar project next Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGod Jul! Mumman är ganska alkoholsvag (jag har lärt mig av misstagen :-)
DeleteIt's a very fun project and is also an ongoing x-mas present to my wife.
Evocative and beautiful scene...Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil and God Jul!
DeleteThat Mumma looks interesting stuff, my Swedish is not as good as your English, looks like mulled wine, I don't have time to look it up properly as we are just about to start preparing the Christmas feast.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to wish you a happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
Take care
Hi John!
DeleteMy mumma-recipe is 1 part port, 1 part lager and 1/2 part sockerdricka ("sugar drink", a local lemonade sort of like 7Up but with less taste). So no wine in my variant.
Goes well with all that salty food we ate yesterday.
Have a great day and I hope Santa brings some good gaming stuff!
