Pulp Alley – The Gate Beyond the Stars Campaign – the Leagues

It is time for a new campaign at the club. We have more club-members who are interested in Pulp Alley (great fun!) so we decided to start all over with new leagues and a new campaign, this time home-brewed. The theme will be Lovecraftian horror (What could possibly go wrong?!)
I think it is about time to present most of the leagues. There will be one or two more joining the campaign later on.
Anders Einstein's Non-Relativistic League, with Anders in the middle, flanked by his sidekicks Greta and  Hans de Laval. In the back we see allies Plåt-Petter, Plåt-Niklas and Lars de Laval.
The allies will change a bit from scenario to scenario.
These are obviously the good guys (and girl and bio-mechanical contraptions).
Another Swedish gang. These are military signals intelligence, Crypto-Section IV, Group T (as in Tvättstuga (laundry room) as their secret entrance is in a laundry in Stockholm). These cryptographers have noticed some strange transmissions coming from all over Europe and from what they deciphered so far they have learnt the art of bending space-time (counts as if the whole league has the skill Flight). From left to right - Their leader Prof. Axiom, sidekick Lieutenant Andersson, ally Corporal Petterson and finally follower Private Lundström (it could be Lundström and Petterson, they could be identical twins...) These are are the core members and they will also have the possibility of getting several backup soldiers from Svea Livgarde and possibly some minions from dimensions outside our own.
Militaristic neo-nazis by the look of them.
The men from ICPO (International Criminal Police Comission) and their Bureau of Occult and Methaphysical Defence (BOMD). From left to right - ally Police Assistant James McLean from NYPD,  allySergeant Ed O'Hare NYPD, leader Special Agent Dick Dalton, sidekick Colonel Kazim Ögul and finally a rather intelligence-challenged member, ally Constable Dimir of the Turkish Police.
Obviously trigger happy internation no-good hoodlums...
The Royal Society's Legendary League of Extraordinary Explorers. From left to right - Hunk O'Really (a fast and good-looking follower, not good for much else), Chiang Kai Shrek (ally), Prof. Bumstead (ally), Mr Singh (sidekick and bodyguard), Cpt. Quentin Cameltoe (ally, sharpshooter and nearsighted), finally their leader Col. G.T. Soggybottom (big game hunter and cricket-afficionado).
The usual imperialistic scum, if you ask me.
The Masonic League of Enigmatic Purpose, led by author and private eye HP Castrullecraft, sidekick Maggie Mayhem (the female aviator from Hell), ally and doomsday preacher Harald "Hauling" Hellstrom, Rocky Earp (nephew of Wyatt and co-pilot to Maggie) and finally ally Eviline Dark (occult wannabe and wickedest in town)
Without a doubt a bunch of demon-worshiping cultists with strange views of the universe.
For all fans of the CSSS - they are still very much alive (and healing…) and will see action in a (probably solo) Tomb of the Serpent campaign. Monsignore is rather enjoying the quiet life and not being eaten by monsters. That will surely change... Stay tuned for slithery action.

The first game was (as always) great and you'll see an AAR here on Monday (I hope)

    1. Let's just say that five leagues and a limited number of plot points leads to carnage...

  7. Fantastic -- any idea who makes the ICPO miniatures? I love the Agent in the middle and the Turkish Police figure. (I just discovered Pulp Alley so I'm reading every AAR I can find :-) )
